About Us
We pride ourself on providing a personal service to all clients. The practice was set up to provide will writing and estate planning guidance and a range of services are available.
We typically meet with clients in their own home and discuss the various topics which need to be considered when making a Will.
Your Will is a very important document, dealing not only with how your estate should be distributed after you die, but also providing details on your funeral wishes, appointing guardians for children (very important for young families) and setting up Trusts if applicable to protect assets and make sure they are passed to the correct beneficiaries.
In addition to Will Writing, we can also assist in setting up Lifetime Powers of Attorney (LPAs). These let you appoint people to take over your financial and personal affairs if you cannot – for example, if you were to suffer a medical condition which meant you couldn’t act for yourself.
Dealing with an estate after someone has died can often be a traumatic and expensive affair. Typically most people do not wish to carry this out themselves either through complexity, cost or because they are grieving.
Should it become apparent that you also need Independent Financial Advice then we can refer you, should you wish, to a suitably qualified and regulated IFA practice.
After taking your Will instructions, draft Will will be sent for reading and checking prior to signing and witnessing.
Only once your Will has been signed and witnessed is the process completed.
It is important to review your Will from time to time and we do provide an ongoing Will review service to ensure that your wishes are updated when circumstances change.
